Resolutions

Snow- the cocaine of the South... it's white, it's powdery (sometimes rock-like), and totally makes towns like Florence descend into an incapable, desperate, passed-out mess.
After watching an outrageous amount of television today (on the treadmill. Hello resolutions!) I realized that college students get REALLY long breaks between semesters. This break has been pretty productive for me, but overall I've done even more nothing. Now, though, there is less than a week before school starts and I have realized that I have so much left to do... including finding a new course. I have a sick feeling in my gut that I'm going to end up taking another 8 AM class with an attendance-nut for a class that I evaded for who-knows-why but I knew I needed to take...
Apparently, I'm a glutton for punishment.

2010

the beginning of a new year... a new decade... an important decade... at the end of this decade I will be thirty, so I really believe that the next ten years will really establish who I am and how I will impact the world.
My mantra in life (thus far) has been to embrace the fluidity of life, to be humble and open to change, but I'm realizing that simply going with the flow offers no real contribution to anyone... so I'm going to try to redirect my mantra.
For now, I will focus on spreading what I find beautiful. A regional artist, Paul Cordes Wilm, is one of my favorite artists of all time. His paintings and multimedia art has a nonchalant sense of humor while maintaining the charm of pop art and the significance of folk art (@http://www.forkitude.com/).
